2015 Portland Zombie Walk

The 10th annual Portland Zombie Walk was held on Halloween day, 2015.

Portanders are accustom to rain. Especially on Halloween, when it never seems to fail that we’ll have rainfall.  But this year was exceptional. Zombies hit the streets of Portland on Halloween day despite almost two inches of rain that fell on Saturday, October 31st, 2015.

Downtown streets turned to rivers. Gutter downspouts gushed like open fire hydrants. MAX trains came to a halt as low areas of track became submerged and train cars flooded. Certainly, the weather affected attendance but nevertheless a small, brave horde of zombies crept from Pioneer Courthouse Square to Burnside Skate Park. Thanks to all of those courageous brain-eaters and spectators that came!

The horde gathered at Pioneer Courthouse Square for the Thriller Dance and Zombie Walk.

The Walk started at the Square around 2:00pm.  Zombies crossed over the Burnside Bridge on the march to the east side, ending at Burnside Skate Park.
